Santa Fe economic and social council is presented at the world summit for public policies

The Summit was held in the city of Salta. It was also carried out the third Assembly of Federal Economic and Social Council and a panel on the experiences of economic and social councils of the country.

The Economic and Social Council of the province of Santa Fe (CEyS), represented by its Executive Coordinator, the Undersecretary of Strategic Development, Maria Paz Gutiérrez, was present in the World Summit for Public Policies  "Bridging the gap from the consensus to action", held in Salta between Thursday and Saturday.

In this context, it was also held the third Assembly of the Federal Economic and Social Council (Cofes), which gathered councils of Argentinian provinces and cities. Representatives of the provinces of Salta, Santa Fe and Chaco, and of the cities of Rosario, Rio Cuarto and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires spoke in the panel "The Cofes, from law to action", during which they exposed their functions and the actions carried forward in each territory. The panel ended with the signature of a document with the objective to suggest that the National Government considers the Cofes opinions to make contributions in the design of public policies.

During the Assembly, Gutierrez remarked that the Economic and Social Council of Santa Fe is "a new field for multisectoral consensus through the dialogue of organized institutions." Our challenge is to develop the public sector from contributions and visions of the members of the CEyS that are 36 institutions from different sectors:  economic, labour and civil society from all the province of Santa Fe. "The Council offers the possibility to design collaborative and responsible public policies ", highlighted the Undersecretary of Strategic Development of the Province of Santa Fe.

COFES PANEL
In the panel "Cofes, from law to action" were exposed experiences of the provinces of Chaco, Santa Fe, Salta and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, and the municipal councils of Rosario and Rio Cuarto.

In his dissertation, Gutierrez stressed, "The Economic and Social Council is framed in the great renown that Santa Fe has in matter of citizen participation and strategic planning." "This year Governor Miguel Lisfchitz opened this space for institutionalized participation, for social dialogue, and for offering consultation and a space for production of knowledge and answers".

Finally he said, "The World Summit for Public Policies invites us to rethink the traditional models of management and design of public policies, to rethink how to design, build, and carry forward their implementation and their governance”.

WORLD OF PUBLIC POLICY SUMMIT
Under the motto "From consensus to action", there is a space of discussion and exchange between Governments, the private sector and organizations of the civil society. There were panels, conferences and forums in which participated recognized politicians and specialists on the matter.

The meeting was held in order to make and advance in the development of new models of public policies, based on innovation and creativity, the commitment of the parties, tolerance and the meeting of coincidences.

Participated in the Summit the following representatives of economic and social councils who signed the final document: the Executive Coordinator of the Council of Santa Fe, Mary Paz Gutierrez; the President of the Council of Salta, Julio Loutaif; the President of the Council of Chaco, Carlos Covic; the Council the city of Rosario, the general coordinator Natalia Carnovale; the President of the Council of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, Federico Saravia; Rio Cuarto, Miguel Angel Besso; and of the city of Oran, Silvina Rufino.
