Lifschitz, Peña and Dietrich announce investments of more than $32 billion for the development of the ports in the province of Santa Fe.

The Governor of Santa Fe, Miguel Lifschitz; the Chief of staff, Marcos Peña; and the Minister of Transportation of the Nation, Guillermo Dietrich, toured two port terminals at the Santa Fe industrial park, where they announced a historic investment of 32 billion pesos to enhance the development of ports in the province over four years: $21.000 million from the private sector, another $10.000 million from the nation and $1.000 million from the Government of Santa Fe.

After touring facilities at Terminal 6 and Cofco, in Timbúes, the officials announced investments for the next four years which, according to Dietrich, which will serve to "unleash the potential of the field in Argentina, that generates a sequence of value that will impact on other sectors of the economy.” The representative from Santa Fe announced that the province will accompany with road works and accesses "by a total of one billion pesos in the so-called rake ranging from national route 11 to the accesses to different ports, which ship 80% of the grain production of the country".

"Private investment and public work from both the nation and the province for this region of the country are something that have been long claimed but we have never reached an agreement in technical criteria, so this is the first time we have had a project of consensus and the idea is to work quickly to accomplish it", said Lifschitz during the tour at the Cofco Agri terminal (Chinese State capitals).

The Governor of Santa Fe also referred to "the brief but intense tour made to the ports of the region, that allows us to have a view of the effort and the production accumulated for more than 30 years and that meant that from the region of Rosario it is exported almost the 80% of Argentina grain production." Then he and added, "However, it is important to highlight that industrial activity is as important as the export that in these terminals is developed to add value and produce products that are in high demand at the international level and which carry Argentinian work, engineering and development capacity".

"The potential is huge to continue growing and behind this chain there are small and medium producers, brokers, cooperatives, and companies that are dedicated to the logistics, to the transport, a network of production and work that generates much employment, movement of the economy and tributes for the local governments, the province and the nation", he added.

"From the Government provincial-continued-have a strong commitment in the same tune that it raises the Government national, convinced of that them States, national and provincial, have that make a strong bet to the investment public in infrastructure, road in our case, to contribute to develop a system of access to the ports that is more efficient and saves time and cost" ", and which would give more productivity to all the work that is done here".

He ended saying that these public works also "accompany the effort of the producers, employers and operators of these ports in order to lower costs, be more competitive, more productive and allows expanding both our horizon of export and expectations of generating jobs for Santa Fe".

Marcos Peña expressed, "This agro-export complex is a national pride that begins with the work of a farmer that wants to be more competitive, until the industry where the nature has given this incredible place." We are not aware of what this complex involves, this type of structure is so competitive, many countries would give their most to have this complex of companies and production, and we have it; "and thanks to this we can generate more jobs and investment".

Dietrich noted that public investment from both the province and the nation, which will invest 5 billion pesos in road works and other similar projects in railway works in the region, will generate better quality of life, economic development and jobs, but at the same time attract private investment as we are announcing today".
