Lifschitz acknowledges 20 brigades from Santa Fe who cooperated in the forest fires in Chile.

Governor Miguel Lifschitz received a delegation of 18 volunteer firefighters from Santa Fe and two civil defense officers, who cooperated during the forest fires in Chile.

"I am very proud of our fire brigade and those who represented us in Chile," said the Governor and added that "when we say we have the best volunteer firefighters in Argentina, it seems that we are boasting or because we overstate, but as we can see in this case, the national Government and that of Chile recognize that capacity choosing us to represent the country and recognizing the quality of the work done".

Lifschitz thanked them "not only for those days that filled the Santafesinos with pride, but also for all the effort and work done over years, for having abandoned the family, personal work to serve others and to comply with the vocation of service because every day there are situations in which volunteer firefighters of Santa Fe are present fulfilling their task".

"These medals are a simple testimony to the recognition for your commitment because when we are able to give more than what we receive we are helping to make a better society".

The volunteer firefighters who received the distinction joined the Argentine delegation which provided services of containment and extinction of the flames that have caused large forest, human and material losses in the neighboring country. The province has a group of 40 brigades specialized in forest fires, mainly serving tasks in the area of woods and mountains, who have been formed with education and training, especially in inhospitable places with high temperatures.

THE EXPERIENCE
The Brigade Commander specializes in forest fires, Roberto Sanchez, indicated, "It was a very good experience for the Brigade, we have been training for a long time and it was the litmus test. The Brigade Chief Operations Manager, Guillermo Brignioni, recalled, "More than 685 international brigades were involved; we have been part of this story, which we are proud of, revealing everything that the Brigade has been doing".
