After the meeting, Gonzalez said, "It was a very positive meeting because we could, without intermediaries and in detail, explain to the regional authorities of the IDB the health strategy for Santa Fe, the way in which it is organised and how resources are distributed and assigned under the slogan of expanding the accessibility, universality and quality in this field".
"In the same way we were able to learn more in detail and analyze the health policy proposed by the IDB, as well as the implementation and complementarity which it provides for the strengthening of public systems and programmes financed, among other actions," added the Minister.
Santa Fe health portfolio holder said it was detailed to the IDB the mode in which the provincial health network is organized: it has the objective in primary care as a strategy and that sees health as a right that must be guaranteed by the State. A review of the plan of works in health that has stared in 2008 was also made.
After that, Sanchez consider the meeting as "very productive" and stressed that "Santa Fe has a very interesting health system and we want to see what their challenges and their projects are, and to assess the possibility of establishing joint work and collaboration on behalf of this province and its inhabitants".
Be noted that Mario Sánchez is a senior economist, specialist in social protection and health of the IDB in Argentina from 2011. With more than six years of experience in the State, he has led projects in the areas of social protection, education and social policy in general, as well as on issues of assessment projects and processes.
