Lifschitz receives the Dutch Ambassador to discuss investment and trade

They also discuss the possibility of deepening ties of cooperation in questions of ports.

Lifschitz receives the Dutch Ambassador

The Governor of Santa Fe, Miguel Lifschitz, received in Rosario the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Argentina, Martin de la Beij, with whom he exchanged information on investment and trade, and the possibility to deepen cooperation in questions of port connections.  In addition, the Governor declared him Guest of Honour.

The meeting, at the seat of Government in Rosario, was also attended by the Secretary of International Relations, María Julia Reyna; the Director of International Relations, Paula Demarchi; the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Rosario, Maximiliano Schellhas; and the Diplomatic Attaché in agricultural matters, Léontine Crisson, among others.

MARTIN DE LA BEIJ
He is the current Ambassador of the Netherlands in Argentina (credited in the country in October 2014); he has a master's degree in Social Anthropology at the Free University of Amsterdam.

He began his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979 and served in various functions until 1999. Between 2004 and last year, he headed the Netherlands mission to Yemen and then held until 2006, the position of Ambassador to Afghanistan. He was also
Ambassador in Bolivia (2006-2010) and Albania (2012-2014);  between 2010 and 2012 he was the Manager of the Department of Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in his country.

RELATIONS BETWEEN SANTA FE AND THE NETHERLANDS
Among the recent binding issues between the Netherlands and the Government of Santa Fe stands the visit of the Minister of Agriculture of the Netherlands, Martijn van Dam, who visited the companies Renova (Timbues) and Indear (Rosario). The visit allowed the initiation of contacts with the Santa Fe Global Agency and the Ministry of Production.

In addition, according to the Provincial Institute of Statistics and Censuses (IPEC), in terms of trade relations it can be observed between 2016 and the first six months of 2017, the export of "beef and eatable offal" is in first place.
