The province looks for new opportunities at the International Consular Summit 2017 that takes place in the United States

The Minister of Economy of the province of Santa Fe, Gonzalo Saglione, participated in the International Consular Summit 2017, which took place from October 25 to November 1, in the city of Oakland, United States.

Saglione said, "From the government we took the invitation to promote the province and present the outstanding features of Santa Fe, as it seems a very good opportunity to attract investment from foreign companies."

"We have been working on the development of commercial proposals for Santa Fe production, considering the important role of the province in the country's exports," added the minister. As an example, he recalled, "In 2016, the province produced 23.9% of Argentine exports, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec)".

Saglione spoke in the panel "Opportunities for E-Commerce at International Level ", which worked on SMEs and cross-border trade in the global value chain, including access to international networks and the collaboration of the members of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).

INTERNATIONAL CONSULAR SUMMIT 2017
Organized by the California Chamber of Commerce of Asia Pacific (CalAsian) together with the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA), was carried out at the Oakland Marriott City Center and brought together experts focused on assisting California businesses doing business abroad.

This year, experts from different countries were invited to participate in two panels: "Cross-border trade opportunities of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC)" and "International opportunities for Cleantech (Clean Technologies) ".

At the same time, East Bay EDA posed strategies and tools for risk management and export finance for companies that do business abroad.

The invitation to the province was made by Sam Driggers, director of global initiatives of CalAsian, who visited Santa Fe during the first days of October, on a tour organized by the New Generation Argentina Foundation that presides Diego Sueiras, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Argentina and the support of Santa Fe Global.

The visit was framed in the twinning agreement between California and Santa Fe, signed by Governor Lifschitz in Sacramento, California.
