Governor Miguel Lifschitz led a farewell reception on Friday to the Chilean diplomatic authorities who have completed their term of office.

They are the ambassador, José Antonio Vera Gallo, and the consul in Rosario, Marcelo Flores, both appointed by the former president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet Jeria.

Lifschitz thanked them both for "the commitment and affection they have set upon their work in these years. Two friends are leaving, with whom we have generated a special bond, but they will remain personal friends and of the city, of the province of Santa Fe and of Argentina, wherever they go".

"We share a lot of cooperation actions with the Government of Chile and we have been able to cultivate a special relationship that has to do with the human qualities of Marcelo and José Antonio," said the governor.

"We know of the persistence and tenacity that we have to have in political life to achieve our dreams, and surely in that way we will meet again, closer or further, we will work for that better world," the governor pointed out.

"We have had historical bonds with Chile from that embrace between General San Martín and General O'higgins and thereafter with common histories. There is a very important Chilean community with which we have established very close links. "

"The Future of the world will require much greater integration. If we really want to consolidate a future of development for our people, and we know that it is important the process of integration unit of the Southern Cone in Latin America. We all have the dream of the Great Homeland and we will continue to work for what our heroes dreamed of, to consolidate democracy, the rule of law, republican values and a world with more justice and more equality in the distribution of resources and opportunities, "concluded Lifschitz.

RELATIONSHIP
The governor reviewed the strong relationship established with the trans-Andean country during his administration, highlighting:

- The actions of technical assistance in the field of control of weapons and explosives; prevention of public safety; criminal investigation; structure and functions of the auditing authorities; administrative processes and actuation protocols.

-The exchange of experiences in the prevention of problematic substance use through the link between the National Service for Prevention and Rehabilitation of Drug and Alcohol Consumption (Senda) and the Agency for Prevention of Drug Use and Comprehensive Treatment of Addictions (Aprecod).

-The joint work aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation.

-The commercial mission that took place in November 2016 with the aim of consolidating economic and commercial links based on the search for productive linkages and new business opportunities.

-The exchange of experiences on the functioning of the models of penitentiary services, access services to justice, juvenile penal system, human rights systems and strategies to preserve archives, among others.

ATTENDEES
The governor and the diplomatic authorities in the event that took place at the hotel Splendor Savoy in Rosario were accompanied by the Intendant Mónica Fein; the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Province, Antonio Bonfatti; the Provincial Deputy, Clara Garcia; the Secretary of International Affairs and Integration, María Julia Reyna; and provincial government officials, municipal cabinet members, academics, entrepreneurs, and artists from Rosario.
