The province signs a technical cooperation agreement with the World Bank Group

The Minister of Economy, Gonzalo Saglione, signed an agreement with authorities of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. Through the agreement, a technical cooperation framework is created between the province of Santa Fe and this entity of the World Bank Group.

Among the different implications of this agreement, it is fundamentally noteworthy the contribution of non-reimbursable technical assistance by the World Bank Group, which will allow the province to have advice from international experts without cost, in topics such as transportation and health services infrastructure.

In addition, it will involve the incorporation of the province into a network of knowledge, experiences and global projects that have already allowed to solve complex regional and urban problems in different parts of the world.

Along these lines, the IFC will incorporate different experiences from Santa Fe to the network that will serve as a reference or help to solve specific problems in other regions of the world.

Saglione remarked, "The province sees IFC as a long-term strategic partner and values its international experience; the technical consultancy support, coupled with sub-national financing, form a comprehensive package of support that is very attractive to Santa Fe.”

The agreement supplements Santa Fe's relationship with that agency, attentive to the financing that is managed for 300 million of dollars for street pavement works in municipalities and communes of the province.

Those who participated in the activity were: the Vice-president of IFC in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and central Asia, Georgina Baker; and the director of the IFC for Latin America and the Caribbean and Director of Infrastructure in this region, Gabriel Goldschmidt.
