Santa Fe and Brazil exchanges experiences on safety protocols

The Secretary of Public management, Matías Figueroa Escauriza, met in Rosario with representatives of associations that gather judges in Santa Fe, Argentina and Latin America, to share and address criteria of protection to officials of the Judicial Branch, especially those involved in causes of social resonance and organized crime.

"It was a profitable meeting in which we share experiences and ideas, as well as modalities to approach these phenomena in different jurisdictions. The accompaniment to the commitment of the Executive branch teams was highlighted in relation to the safety of judges," explained Figueroa Escauriza.

The official said that "we talk about the possibilities of providing security for judges, which are applied in different provinces and countries in Latin America. Especially in Brazil, where there are specific protocols and a whole development around this topic. "

"What is sought is to protect those officials involved in judicial cases of great social resonance, related to gangs acting in the framework of organized crime," concluded the Secretary of Public Management.

ATTENDEES
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Rosario and participated in it the judge of Sao Paulo and president of the Latin American Federation of Judges, Walter Barone; and the Criminal Judge of Curitiba, Orlando Cerqueira Bremen.

Also participated the Secretary of Justice, Angel Garrote, and the President of the Council of the Judiciary of the Province, Leandro Maiarota; the President of the National Association of Magistrates, María Lilia Gómez Alonzo; Judge Rosario Ariel Ariza in representation of the Argentine Federation of Magistracy. Meanwhile, the province of Santa Fe was represented by the President of the Magistrates' Association, Gustavo Salvador.
