The province promotes exports to Latin American markets

The Santa Fe Agency for Investment and International Trade "Santa Fe Global" works intensely in promoting the exports of the SME sector in the main Latin American markets.

In 2017, the Province of Santa Fe exported 13.5 million dollars. Out of that total, 75% corresponds to exports of the primary industry, and 25% to exports with added value, most of them from the SME sector.

"In Santa Fe, there are successful experiences of SMEs that export products with innovation such as car valves, agricultural machinery, biotechnology products, software and dulce de leche," said the minister of production, Alicia Ciciliani.

"The challenge is to make these exceptions a real possibility for the majority, to the extent that SMEs are increasingly supported to attain exports to achieve our goals," he added.

"SANTA FE GLOBAL"
In pursue of increasing exports, the province created the Santa Fe Agency of Investment and International Trade "Santa Fe Global" in 2016.

"The agency is aiming at strategic markets with potential for our companies. In this context, Latin American economies present several advantages for Santa Fe production: positive economic growth rate, need for technological development, good perception of Argentina's industry, logistical advantages and the same language, among others," explained its president, Carlos Braga.

To promote exports, the agency accompanies local companies to international fairs and exhibitions in which, through business rounds, Santa Fe exportable Fe offer meets potential customers.

"The program provides an integral accompaniment to companies that starts several months before the fair or exhibition, since it requires contacting them and evaluating which destinations they would be more convenient to participate in, advising them to do so with the most convenient products according to each market, and encouraging and convincing them that they are able to export," said Braga.

TRAINING AND EXPOCRUZ 2019
In the past few months, "Santa Fe Global" has assisted more than 200 SMEs in rounds of business, exhibitions and fairs, both in the country and abroad, which have been contacted with some 150 buyers from the continent.

On September 21st took place Expocruz Bolivia, one of the most important multisectoral shows in Latin America. In this opportunity, there was 52 participating companies in diverse items such as agricultural machinery, construction, refrigeration, animal nutrition, furniture, electronics, and plastics, among others.

"The province has been participating in Expocruz for more than 20 years. In 2017, about 65 companies managed to do businesses for more than 70 million dollars. This year is expected to exceed that number for which the participating companies have been trained, organizing personalized business agendas, supporting them on their stands and facilitating their access," detailed Braga.

Those companies that are interested in knowing the programs of Santa Fe Global and how to participate can do so in www.santafeglobal.gob.ar.
