Officials of the Ministry of Production accompanied the Angolan ambassador to Argentina, Hermínio Escorcio, on a tour around the province of Santa Fe, during which he met members of the meat production chain, with the aim of installing a Santa Fe base of investments in that country.

The diplomat's agenda included a visit to San Justo, where he was inducted on beef production in both pasture and feedlot.  In addition, he toured the Rural Society of that city and held a meeting with young producers.

Later, he visited in San Carlos Sud, the Cassini y Cesaratto plant, a cheese-producing company that in the 2011 edition of Mercoláctea received the distinction "cheese of the Year", by its blue variety with the brand name "La Quesera". Escorcio knew in detail the practices that the company develops according to international quality standards.

Finally, in the town of Gessler, toured the company Dos Granjas, which processes pork with 300 animals in production. The company produces a total of 4500 kilos of fresh meat and sausage per year.

In this regard, the Secretary of Livestock, Dairy and Natural Resources, Roberto Tión, said that the ambassador's visit "ratifies the idea of a productive Santa Fe, with roots in the territory and the shaping of new generations in production".

"We committed each other to continue working on a concrete agenda with producers, entrepreneurs from the various primary chains who are interested in bringing their production to the African country, taking into account that it is a territory that imports everything they consume," he concluded.
