Lifschitz received the new Consul General of Spain in Rosario

Governor Miguel Lifschitz received in Rosario, the protocol visit of the new Consul General of Spain, Jaime González Castaño.

"I have been fortunate to have the first meeting with the governor of Santa Fe, shortly after being here because I have been in Argentina for just a month. We have been able to exchange impressions about the situation in the province and the Spanish community. It was a very cordial meeting from which we draw very good conclusions," the consul stressed.

"We intend to develop many projects that have to do with promoting good relations between the government of the province and the Spanish community."

"I have an unbeatable image of both the province in general, and of the city of Rosario in particular. It is a very welcoming city that has welcomed me and my wife very well. It has a very active, vibrant and big Spanish community. In the province we have also found a lot of activities in economic and business terms," he concluded.

María Julia Reyna, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Integration, also participated in the meeting.

GONZÁLEZ CASTAÑO
A career diplomat, Jaime González Castaño holds a degree in Law, a diploma in International Relations and is currently attending the doctorate. He served, among other important positions, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the European Union and in the cooperation of the Diplomatic School as an adviser.

In addition, he was in charge of the technical advice and coordination of all the official activities of the President of the Government, both nationally and internationally, from 2012 to 2016, during the presidency of Mariano Rajoy.

He also participated in the Higher Council of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
