COVID-19: PEROTTI STATED THAT THE PROVINCE IS IN A MUCH BETTER CONDITION TODAY THAN IT WAS 30 DAYS AGO"

This was confirmed by the governor during the opening of the 138th regular session of the provincial Legislature.

COVID-19: PEROTTI STATED THAT THE PROVINCE IS IN A MUCH BETTER CONDITION TODAY THAN IT WAS 30 DAYS AGO".

Excerpts from the governor’s speech on the Covid-19 Pandemic:

"Three new healthcare providers were prepared. Equipment for 60 beds was placed in Coronda hospital, 82 new beds were added in the old Iturraspe hospital, with oxygen therapy and with general hospitalization; and we have arranged the Sagrada Familia Clinic in Santa Fe where we added 48 general beds and 4 critical ones. The enablement of these spaces allows us the reorganization and also increases the availability of beds, and to this day we have 64% more critical beds".

"When the pandemic started, we counted with 150 critical beds, today we have 247, of which already 221 have respirators. We thus expanded 71 beds with respirators distributed evenly in the five health regions, in Reconquista 15%, in Santa Fe 17%, in Rafaela 15%, in Venado Tuerto 14%, and in Rosario 38%. Among the public and private sectors, the province now has 914 critical beds, and will continue to grow with the beds by incorporating the Baigorria modular hospital and the arrival of new respirators."

"Every week we are receiving ventilators and this weekend we will be adding 20 new respirators in the province of Santa Fe."

"One of the main challenges of this pandemic is to generate new spaces for confirmed cases with mild symptoms, reinforcing epidemiological control to prevent saturation of the health system."

"At the beginning of the pandemic we shared with you the scenarios that the Ministry of Health developed, 4 possible scenarios, taking this as a basis we estimate that the province would need 4 non-hospital beds every thousand inhabitants, this was going to happen at the peak time, considering that they should stay there for 14 days. Given that the situation is dynamic, we set out to have half of them working this 30 April. And that has happened, we have half of those beds in full operation, and they will continue to increase depending on the progress of the pandemic."

"It is fundamental the work of each of the senators, the mayors and the communal presidents to coordinate a common strategy with these isolation centers in the committees. In just 6 weeks, 278 non-hospital isolation centres and 6,500 beds were ready and another 1,590 were set up in these 278 locations."

"We have respirators Nation sent by the nation, we have grown in equipment, we will reinforce with the equipment that will be brought from China, we have also reinforced with production of the LIF the lack of alcohol, and also with some local production, because it is good to thank our companies, many of them converting, others with the support of universities, they all put themselves at the service of the health system."
