PEROTTI: "THE NEW MODULAR HOSPITAL OF GRANADERO BAIGORRIA ALLOWS TO ADD 76 BEDS TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM OF THE PROVINCE"

Governor Omar Perotti and the President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández, inaugurated the Emergency Modular Hospital in Granadero Baigorria. “It allows the province to add 76 beds in a key area and win in technology; and makes it possible to decentralize health assistance in Rosario and expand the coverage towards the industrial ring," stressed the Santa Fe representative.

The governor also recalled: "The initial concern was about the lack of critical beds, the public sector had a weakness there"; and highlighted the president's "key decision to support us with the equipment of respirators and the equipment of this hospital; and with provincial efforts, we have already grown by more than 100% in critical public sector beds."

Perotti also thanked, "The timely decision to determine the social distancing and effort of all Argentineans and all the Santafesinos".

"Just as we are making all efforts in accordance with health protocols, we are going to do our best to strengthen production and employment," the governor of Santa Fe concluded.

In the meantime, President Alberto Fernández stressed: "It is important that we are providing more beds to Rosario, in an area where the lives of many people are concentrated and where the risk of contagion is very important".

"When we said the peak was coming, well, it is getting closer, and that peak demands that we open all these hospitals and maybe others, so that we can assist all the patients; but it also requires us to be very cautious, because the virus is circulating and we will look for the virus ourselves," the president said.

Finally, the Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, stressed: "There is a floor of investment in health policy, governing whoever governs, can never again be breached; and it's not just about adding beds, it's about the decision of this government to strengthen the health care system, a much stronger decision than building hospitals and adding up these kind of devices."

This modular hospital is one of the 12 that the national government has built to meet the demand for the coronavirus pandemic in different parts of the country. The effectors of La Matanza, Mar del Plata, Chaco and Córdoba were also inaugurated.
