Perotti explained that it was "a routine and a follow-up meeting, after the agreement on the Federal Forces to be present in the province of Santa Fe, particularly in Rosario," he said. It should be remembered that 575 federal agents have arrived in Santa Fe.
In that sense, the governor explained that "their performance and the need to continue with a strong presence were reviewed," he said.
Later, Perotti indicated that the President "has ratified his commitment – because Argentina cannot allow this to happen in its territory – to follow closely, adjust, and if it is necessary, strengthen the presence and equip the province of Santa Fe, specifically in Rosario," he said.
Previously, the governor met with the Chief of Cabinet, Juan Manzur; and with the Ministers of Security, Aníbal Fernández; and Environment and Sustainable Development, Juan Cabandié.
In this regard, Perotti said that both with the "chief of staff and Minister (Aníbal) Fernández, we review this commitment" of the National Government to send Federal Forces to the province of Santa Fe.
During the meeting, Minister Manzur told the governor of Santa Fe "his decision to be in the province in the coming days, monitoring the follow-up of security issues"; but also "of the works that are being carried out and those that are proposed in the 2022 budget for the province of Santa Fe," said the governor.
SANTA FE ISLANDS
Finally, the governor recalled that the meeting with the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development "was for an ambitious project: to expand the Santa Fe Islands National Park. A very important news for the province of Santa Fe". In that sense, Perotti stressed that the agreement has "a strong connotation for caring for our natural areas and, especially, the protection of wetlands in the area of islands of the Paraná River. This project prioritizes the environmental issue and also the tourism promotion of the province of Santa Fe, "concluded the governor of the province.
