PROVINCIAL AUTHORITIES hOld a NETWORKING meeting with the Ambassador of Cameroon

The conclave was held at the seat of government in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The objective was to initiate a path of commercial and technical cooperation between the two regions.

In the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the Government Delegation of the province of Santa Fe hosted the sectoral linkage meeting in which provincial officials met with the Ambassador of Cameroon in Argentina, Mbeng Martin Agbor, and with referents of companies and institutions of the main productive sectors of Santa Fe, with the aim of initiating a path of commercial and technical cooperation between both regions.

After the meeting, the Secretary of Federal Management, Candelaria González del Pino said: "It is a pleasure to receive the Ambassador of Cameroon at the Casa de Santa Fe, even more so in the case of a meeting that generates new opportunities for exchanges and to publicize the province in all its extension, with all its productive, cultural and tourist potential. The delegation that visited us exposed the multiple possibilities of linkage between the province and a growing Cameroon, so we consider it of the utmost importance to promote strategic partnerships linked to the production and exchange of food, agricultural machinery and knowledge transfer. "

"There is an opportunity in Cameroon's Development Program, Vision 2035, which aims to industrialize the country and there the province has the potential to be part of and accompany that process," she added.

In addition, during the liaison meeting, the Ambassador of Cameroon highlighted the potential of the Province and said: "Santa Fe can become a partner of the 2035 Strategic Plan, presented by the Republic of Cameroon, since there is a convergence between what the province offers with all its productive network and the needs of our country."

On her part, the Secretary of International Cooperation and Regional Integration, Julieta de San Félix highlighted the importance of the day. "The link between Santa Fe and Cameroon, as with all African countries, has a high potential in terms of cooperation, but also in terms of trade. Santa Fe, with this visit, is positioned as a strategic partner of the export market for the goods that will be required in terms of the country's development plan towards year 2035, "said the official.

Then, the Secretary of Foreign Trade, Germán Burcher, said: "The meeting was very positive since we took full knowledge of the needs and objectives of this mission. In this sense, it should be clarified that given the objectives that were set for us, to carry out an industrialization program towards 2035 in Cameroon, our province can play a very important role, since it has an agro-industry capable of transforming the primary goods offered by the land. "

"The visit opened the doors to explore the possibilities of South-South cooperation, particularly the technical one for socio-economic development in areas where the partners have extensive experience such as agri-food, dairy production, cotton production, innovation, organic production certification, logistics and port infrastructure. In this way, Cameroon would be linked to our province, not only with production, but also with the entire ecosystem of knowledge-based economy, including Universities and Technological Poles," concluded Burcher.

Finally, the Consul of Cameroon, Victor Bille, said: "The reason for choosing Santa Fe as a counterpart for the generation of commercial ties lies in the opportunity to meet all our needs in a single geographical space.
