Lunes 28 de septiembre de 2015 The Vice-Governor of Santa Fe, Jorge Henn, and the Minister of Education, Claudia Balagué, chaired the Constitución Departmental Final of the Santa Fe Olympics, attended by more than 900 young people and adolescents from different towns of the Department.
Due to the weather, the celebration of coexistence was held at the CEF No. 26, instead of the Pre - Cosquín field as it had been planned. But rain does not shut off the enthusiasm of young people and adolescents who arrived with their delegations from Villa Constitución, Empalme Villa Constitución, Máximo Paz, Bombal, Alcorta, Santa Teresa, Juncal, Juan B. Molina, Pavón Arriba, Peyrano, Sargento Cabral and Cañada Rica.
This departmental instance was attended by 933 young people and adolescents, from which 2 were classified to the Evita National Tournament in the disciplines adapted soccer and athletics.
On the occasion, Balague highlighted the number of participants in the third edition of this event. "This year the Santa Fe Olympics have been an absolute record in terms of participation of boys and girls: more than 130 thousand from all provincial territory have joined different artistic and sporting disciplines", said the Minister of Education that showed gratitude to the organization and commitment of physical education and art teachers, and local authorities.
Balague explained that the Santa Fe Olympics have a legacy for each town that took part in this mega-event: "Each year, new facilities are developed in the villages, in those places where the defining instances are achieved; we had started with giant chess boards in parks and squares, and also after Governor Bonfatti’s idea, new athletics tracks have been built ", and another one will be built here in Villa Constitución, so the children will have facilities that allow them to go even further".
In his message, Henn thanked the teachers who accompanied the students in different instances, and pondered the values that promote the Olympics as solidarity and coexistence. "For the Province of Santa Fe, it is very important that children play and compete. The important thing in life is to be good people, beyond a result", defined the Vice - Governor of the Province.
During the games, the young finalists participated in various sporting institutions of the city of Villa Constitución in sporting and artistic events such as bocce, volleyball, chess, athletics, football 7, handball, hockey, adapted football, adapted volleyball, singing, free dance and flagpoles.
