Iapos garantiza una cobertura del 100% en anticonceptivos elaborados por el laboratorio Industrial Farmacéutico de la Provincia de Santa Fe (LIF). Al momento de iniciar el tratamiento se debe presentar en la farmacia la indicación médica y el medicamento se retira de forma gratuita durante el período que éste dure. Las formulaciones anticonceptivas reconocidas son Levonorgestrel + Etinilestradol y Levonorgestrel.
Cuando por razones médicas fundadas las afiliadas deban tomar otro tipo de medicación anticonceptiva, deberán presentar en la farmacia donde adquieren el medicamento la documentación respaldatoria del beneficio de excepción que se solicita.
Los dispositivos intrauterinos de cobre (DIU) son cubiertos por la modalidad de reintegro.
Los métodos de anticoncepción quirúrgicos, ligadura de trompas de Falopio (lisis tubaria), para mujeres, y ligaduras de conductos deferentes o vasectomía para los hombres, se encuentran incluidos dentro de las prestaciones de la obra social y su autorización se realiza on line desde los centros asistenciales que brinden las prácticas.
