On the occasion, Perotti said that "it is an important delivery that is being made in the main cities throughout the province. Today it is the turn here in the city of Santa Fe, to the entire Regional Unit I, with the desire that they are tools that help improve prevention tasks and provide answers."
"We know that there is a lot missing, but we have to continue equipping and training, there is no other way and we want that greater presence not only to be in number, but also with good equipment and good training," the governor concluded.
In turn, the Minister of Security mentioned that today the province "is modernizing the police force with more equipment and greater technology, and proof of this are these 55 motorcycles of last generation, and a total of 260 that we are delivering throughout the province, to provide our motorists with the best tools , with an investment of 360 million pesos in this item alone."
In this regard, Lagna added that "we are convinced that this tool is fundamental, in these times, to attack the crime that afflicts the neighbor a lot, which is theft and robbery, the predatory crime, especially in the most populated places, in banking areas or with greater circulation. This gives us the possibility of a faster response, together with a technological leap that the Police will have with our intelligence centers, which there will unite the 911 with the video surveillance systems, the municipal systems, that is, we are making an investment in 2 years of 7,400 million pesos, "said the official, who added that "it is underway and very soon there will be conclusions of a tender to acquire 400 patrol boats, we are renewing the fleet."
HUMAN RESOURCES
On the other hand, "there is the aspect of human resources," Lagna continued, "we are with permanent training and with greater income from police officers. We can't invent police, what we can do is train them better and give tools so that year after year the entrants are more. This year they are going to make 1,600, next year they are going to exceed 2,500. For that we face different alternatives, such as the regional police schools such as the one that is already operating the Murphy, soon we are going to specify the one of Rafaela, and we are working to realize the one of Reconquista and others".
Finally, the head of the Security Portfolio remarked that "there is a program that attacks these aspects: the human and the technological. We will continue to work day by day, without magic formulas, investing a significant part of santafesinos' money in these items. It's not a declamation, you see it in the budget and you see it in a police action that's closer to the people."
For her part, the chief of the Police of Santa Fe, Emilce Chimenti, expressed her "joy for delivering this important amount of 0Km motorcycles, which will allow a better patrol in the cities where they will be delivered" while thanking "the effort made by the government of the province to provide" the force "with better tools for our work".
