Safe access to Santa Fe: the province signS a key agreement with the UTN to develop the preliminary projects

In the context of the "Road and Citizen Safety Improvement Plan" signed with the Nation, Provincial Roads and the UTN Santa Fe have signed a commitment to cooperate and assist the executive project.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, through the Provincial Directorate of Roads, signed an agreement with the UTN to develop a basic preliminary draft and the terms of reference, within the framework of the Road and Citizen Safety Improvement Plan in the accesses to the capital city of Santa Fe.

The agreement, signed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Silvina Frana; the general administrator of the DPV, Oscar Ceschi; and the dean, Rudy Grether, includes the development of the technical bidding documentation, the preliminary project, plans, metric calculations, budget and terms of reference for the contractor.

Consulted after the signing, Silvina Frana explained that "a little more than a month ago, Governor Omar Perotti made a commitment with the Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, by means of which the Nation was going to commit 5,000 million pesos."

She added: "The first project has to do with a part of the lighting that is being carried out by the Highway Administration, but this agreement has to do with the concrete possibility that the UTN carries out these studies, since they have related careers and sufficient expertise in road infrastructure".

AGREEMENT WITH NATION

It should be noted that on October 18, Governor Omar Perotti and the Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, signed the commitment to invest 10,000 million pesos to improve road access in the city of Santa Fe.

Governor Perotti said, "These improvements will change the landscape of the Ring Road.  The new access will have a big impact on our city, together with the Railway Ring Road Plan, the first in the country.  Both projects will improve trafficability and gain a logistics infrastructure that will allow us greater speed and transport of loads for the development of the region".

THE PROJECT

Sections: National Route A-007 from Lisandro de la Torre St. to the access to Santo Tomé (4.7 kilometers); National Route No. 11, from the access to Santo Tomé to Provincial Route No. 70 (20.5 kilometers) and National Route No. 11 from Provincial Route No. 70 to Candioti (7.6 kilometers).
