The Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini; the Minister of Government and Innovation, Fabián Bastia; and the Secretary of Tourism, Marcela Aeberhard, signed agreements to afford 300 million pesos for tourism in the Departments of San Javier, Garay and La Capital.

In addition, as regards infrastructure, it was announced that EPE (Provincial Energy Company) will take over the operation of the electric structure that used to be managed by the Helvecia Cooperative, which supplies Cayastá.

Precisely, in the ceremony carried out in Cayastá, Minister Bastía highlighted: "Our governor has visited every town of the province, every corner and he has been here with a very clear message of what would be his government axes: education, security and production. Tourism is part of this third axis. And what we have done then, with this and the rest of the axes, is to keep our word in every minute of our administration".

"We are convinced that Santa Fe and the country will move forward if we encourage industry and production. In this case, the tourism industry is an important tool to generate the movement of the regional economy. Furthermore, by providing better electrical infrastructure, we will achieve a plus to improve the quality of service that each of the tourists who come to enjoy the Santa Fe riverside will have," said Minister Puccini.

In turn, Secretary Aberhard said: “The agreements are the beginning of a plan to strengthen tourism. It is what Minister Puccini entrusted as soon as we took office: to work by programs and to monitor each step we take, according to the path that Governor Pullaro has set for us". In addition to Cayastá (where the senator of the department of Garay Germán Baumgartner and the communal president of Cayastá, Edgardo Berli, were present), the agreements were also signed in Romang and San José del Rincón.

The Riverside Road

The program announced by the government consists of 300 million pesos that are provided for the development of tourism and the strengthening of infrastructure and equipment in the towns located on Provincial Route 1 through financing and a sustained program. Both Puccini and Aeberhard agreed in emphasizing: "This measure was agreed with the local representatives, who are the ones who have the demands of the tourists and of each of their neighbors at hand. We want this to be the beginning of many agreements to strengthen tourism and production".

“The route 1 corridor defined by resolution 1073/2017 was chosen, which starts in San José del Rincón and ends in Romang, for them we worked with senators Oscar Dolzani, Germán Baungartner and Julio Paco Garibaldi, and the presidents of commune and mayor of this territory", remarked Aeberhard.

The program contemplates that the areas included in the program (San Javier, Alejandra, Romang, Colonia Teresa, Saladero Cabal, Santa Rosa de Calchines, Helvecia, Cayastá, San José del Rincón and Arroyo Leyes) can install roadside signposting ; revamp and enhance the value of tourism offices; acquire containers adapted for offices or to be used as food trucks, to sell drinks, typical products, tourist assistance services and a sector for lifeguards in the coastal area; acquire bicycles, kayaks, pedal boats, amphibious chairs, catamarans or boats for tourist excursions.

Cayastá: response to a long-standing claim

In another important measure to strengthen the tourist infrastructure, the president of EPE, Hugo Marcucci, together with the municipal president of Cayastá, Edgardo Berli, signed an agreement to take over the operation of the electricity network within the urban area -which was managed by the Helvecia Cooperative- for the next 20 years.

Puccini emphasized that this is a commitment of Governor Maximiliano Pullaro. "We toured Cayastá and other localities several times during 2022 and 2023, and the claim from lodge owners was permanent. Today we are keeping our word, because when we make a commitment, we respect it."

Finally, Geese highlighted: “In activities like this is where you can see that the EPE is a great tool for the people of Santa Fe, which we have to continue defending because in times of difficulties we see its relevance, and that is why we also sustain the need to manage this public company with efficiency and transparency".
