"The agricultural sector requires state policies that provide development and stability".

Pullaro participated in the 46th meeting of the Federal Agricultural Council.

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro participated in the 46th meeting of the Federal Agricultural Council (CFA), which met at the Rosario Stock Exchange and was attended by national authorities and ministers of Production and Agriculture of all the provinces.

"It is a very important meeting, where the aim is to discuss the policies that we have to carry out in Argentina that allow us to generate development and growth, but fundamentally to give stability to the sector, a stability that allows us to look at the medium and long term", explained the provincial head of state.

In this sense, Pullaro said: "There are investments that have to be carried out, but we also have to redefine the federal matrix of the country at this moment, based on the effort made by hundreds of producers and by the provincial states.” “Many times, we feel that we end up contributing and nothing comes back to our regions and the challenge is huge: to think of a productive model for our country", added the governor.

In this regard, the governor warned that "federalism is having very bad moments", and stated that "when the burden always ends up being reversed, when the contributions made by producing and productive provinces such as this one, are to support a federal system, and ends up returning little and nothing, and suffocating our producers, we must rethink from which place we want to discuss long-term policies".

"That is why the presence of national government officials lets us know that the issue is on the agenda and that it is being listened to -he continued-; and the fact that this Council has met in Rosario is very important because it is in line with what we have been discussing and raising", he concluded.

The event was attended by the Vice Governor Gisela Scaglia; the Mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin; the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini; the National Secretaries of Industry and Productive Development, Juan Pazo; and of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Fernando Vilella; the National Undersecretaries of Productive and Sustainable Strengthening for Small and Medium Agrifood Producers, Pedro Vignau; of Agriculture, Germán Di Bella; of Food, Bioeconomy and Regional Development, Pablo Nardone; and of Agricultural Markets, Agustín Tejeda; and the presidents of the Rosario Stock Exchange, Miguel Simioni; of the National Seeds Institute (Inase), Claudio Dunan; of the National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (Senasa), Pablo Cortese; and of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA), Juan Cruz Molina, among others.

A great opportunity for Argentinians

The Vice-governor remarked: “The new administration thinks that this Council is a great opportunity for the Argentinians, a real opportunity for the Council not to remain a mere meeting, but to build public policies together, with the federal view that our country needs, so that this Council can really dialogue and propose to the national government that view of the productive interior of Argentina".

Finally, Scaglia expressed her confidence; "The government will do its utmost to understand that it is with the countryside, with agricultural production, because the great challenge we have in Argentina is to create private employment, and that can only be generated with active ministries of Production and thinking ahead".

Helping with concrete measures

In his turn, the Secretary of Industry and Productive Development of the Nation, affirmed the importance of the meeting, so that the Council may serve to "move things forward and understand the real obstacles to production in the Argentine Republic".

"We want to know how we can help them, but with concrete measures", assured Pazo, who expressed that "for the Government this is a very important appointment. We found an incredible opportunity to promote a free and productive Argentina, and that is impossible to start without the recognition of the sector. We are here to help producers, to generate a better working environment, to help increase production, and to understand that the provinces are key for the growth of our country".
