Pullaro: "Argentina will succeed with the aid of farming, production and industry; that is our contribution to the May Pact".

He said this when he headed this Thursday, in Buenos Aires, the launching of the 2024 edition of AgroActiva, an exhibition of agricultural machinery and inputs to be held from June 5 to 8 in Armstrong.

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, presented in Buenos Aires the 30th edition of the AgroActiva fair, which will be held between June 5 and 8 in Armstrong, Belgrano department. The ceremony was held in the central hall of the House if Santa Fe in Buenos Aires, where Pullaro expressed, "We are honored that this exhibition is held in Santa Fe, which is farming , industry and commerce", and thanked the presence of national, provincial and local authorities, entrepreneurs and exhibitors who accompany the development of the exhibition, especially the Secretary of Bioeconomy of the Nation, Fernando Vilella as an ally of the province. This event shows that there are, and there must be more, State policies that defend the productive interior in Argentina.

The governor recalled, “Santa Fe producers invest every peso they receive to have better technology, because they dream that their fields will yield a quintal or a ton more. That is our culture, our identity, our DNA. Santa Fe producers represent companies that perhaps started in a garage, with a welding machine or a folding machine, and reinvested because they dream of having one more employee or new machinery that will allow them to grow and develop. That is who we are," he said.

"We want to continue growing and also betting on science and technology, with the support of the State in the development of public policies that allow, in a virtuous association with the private sector, the economy and the sources of employment to grow", highlighted the governor.

He also pointed out: "Production, farming and industry are our identity.” “We have to discuss a productive system in Argentina", he assured, and mentioned, “The May Pact (called so by President Javier Milei) is an enormous opportunity not only to re-discuss the political or tax reform, but also the productive model, where we are going; whether we are going to produce cereals or industrialize them, as we want; whether we are going to export meat; which are the markets to which we have to bet on. This institutional and productive design is the one that Argentina must have".

In this context, Pullaro also referred to review and analyze the agricultural retentions: "Argentina is going to succeed with the aid of production, farming and the industry, and that is what we have to contribute to the May Pact".

Talent and work

The Secretary of Bioeconomy of the Nation, Fernando Vilella, assured that "the retentions, the restrictions and regulations (to production) are being removed so that the talent of the descendants of 'the gringos' (in reference to the Pampa Gringa) reaches a higher stratum and spills over to the country, giving them back their profitability".

In turn, Puccini said, "We want to continue being the second exporting province in the country because it is the way for Santa Fe to continue growing. The productive inland is the one that provides the dynamism that Argentina needs; and in a world that demands food, we are going to get ahead with more production. That is why AgroActiva will be the starting point for the country to take off".

Previously, the director of AgroActiva, Rosana Nardi, stated, "We are very honored that Santa Fe allows us to present the exhibition in its House. AgroActiva is the word that identifies us as a rural community, sharing the same values, passions, and objectives. We are the genuine, simple, and hard-working countryside; and the countryside of business, technology and knowledge".

Finally, the mayor of Armstrong, Guillermo Luzzi, recalled that "AgroActiva was born 30 years ago and toured different parts of the country, but it has settled again in our city. It is a space where the productive family meets every year and where the potential of our agribusiness and our values are exhibited to the world". Finally, the mayor of Armstrong, Guillermo Luzzi, recalled: "AgroActiva was born 30 years ago and toured different parts of the country, but it has settled again in our city. It is a space where the productive family meets again every year and where the potential of our agribusiness and our values are exhibited to the world".

Santa Fe's stand at the exhibition will have a total area of 13,800 m² and will offer space for 150 SMEs from Santa Fe in the agrotechnology, agro-industrial, metal-mechanic and food sectors, among others. The Executive and General Coordination Secretary of the Ministry of Production, Paola Forcada; the national senator Eduardo Galaretto; the national deputy, Gabriel Chumpitaz; and the national deputy, Melina Giorgi, together with other national and provincial authorities, businessmen and exhibitors who will participate in AgroActiva, also participated in the presentation of the exhibition.
