ullaro led the main ceremony for Flag Day in the city of Rosario.

The governor of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, together with the president of the Nation, Javier Milei, and the mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, headed the central act for the Flag Day this Thursday, commemorating the 204th anniversary of the passage to immortality of General Manuel Belgrano. The leaders were accompanied by members of the national, provincial and municipal cabinets.

After the hoisting of the National Flag at the National Flag Monument in the city of Rosario, Pullaro highlighted "the presence of the President, the Vice-President and the national cabinet, because for many years this important national date was ignored or politicised. Here, in Rosario, people and government meet, under the same sky and under the same flag, which unites Argentines under the same objective".

The governor then thanked the "national government, the President and his Minister of Security for their support at a very difficult time when we were victims of narco-terrorists who murdered four workers. They did not look the other way, they did not comment on the reality, they took decisions together with the province. We were not and are not alone," said the governor, and he also highlighted "the solidarity of other provinces".
"In these complex times, with so many frustrations on our shoulders but with a hope that is reborn, our people hope that -like the men who constituted this nation- we can rise to the times," Pullaro said.

Likewise, the governor of Santa Fe called for "this June 20, let us return to Belgrano, to the hero who in 1798 drafted the first project of state education, free and compulsory, and who urged to promote agriculture, encourage industry and protect trade, because he continues to show us the horizon. Let us accept this invitation from history".

"Santa Fe is the cradle of the Flag that we pay homage to today, and that synthesises the union in diversity, the possibility that each part of this Nation, from its particularity, contributes to a totality that forgets no one; we are the land of the Constitution and of federalism".

Looking at the productive country In this sense, the governor said: "As a Santa Fe native, I ask you, Mr. President, to look at that country that produces development and innovation, that needs infrastructure works to exploit its full potential; that needs its young people to go to university and put their heads to technological development, linking production with knowledge; that needs a country with fiscal balance and efficiency, and a productive, educational and more federal look".

"Santa Fe is the countryside, industry, commerce, river, ports, and it is the tractor that the country needs for the change that all Argentines demand. Come back every June 20, bet on the meeting and on a project for a country with balanced accounts, but with production and education as the axes of development", Pullaro stressed.

Finally, the governor of Santa Fe recited the preamble of the National Constitution and stressed that "we are the productive interior that has always brought the Argentine Republic forward, we are working people who want to produce, we are the children of Brigadier Estanislao López who fought alongside Manuel Belgrano, and for federalism".

Presidential summons

In his turn, Milei recalled:  "Belgrano, father of our flag, who showed that each individual can have a decisive weight in history” and highlighted: “He was an example of austerity and honesty in the exercise of public service. The Flag is the incarnation of the Homeland, and today, here in Rosario, he invited them to repeat their commitment to freedom".

The President then called on "all political authorities and governors to sign the Pact of May next July 9, in Tucumán, to begin to turn the page of our history," he concluded.
Javkin, before, welcomed Rosario and thanked the President and the Governor for "being present on such a special day". Belgrano is much more than a hero, he is a father, a legacy. Rosario is "always ready to dialogue, to listen, to unite under the sacred mantle, this is the way to build the city of peace we dream of", he said.

The vice-governor of Santa Fe, Gisela Scaglia; and ministers of the provincial cabinet; the vice-president of the Nation, Victoria Villarruel; the head of the Cabinet, Guillermo Francos and national ministers were present at the ceremony.
