The provincial government, through the Ministry of Productive Development headed by Gustavo Puccini, is adding more actions aimed at companies, within the framework of contributing to internationalisation. After an outstanding year for the organisation of key events to open doors in global markets and show the potential of the diverse productive matrix of Santa Fe, a new significant step was taken. On this occasion, through the Santa Fe Global Agency, 12 companies participated in a trade mission to Malaga, within the framework of Expo AgriTech, held from 26 to 28 November in the Spanish city.

Expo AgriTech is a reference event in technology, industry and innovation for the agricultural sector, which brings together the main leaders in the field. The participation of Santa Fe companies in this fair offered a valuable opportunity to establish direct contacts with counterparts interested in their products, laying the groundwork for future sales and entry into new markets.

This space was not limited to generating commercial links with Spain, as the global nature of the event, together with its repercussions in Europe and North Africa, broadened business horizons. Santa Fe companies also sought to strengthen relations with potential partners in other strategic regions, such as the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and other areas of interest.

The province of Santa Fe was present in the Argentinean pavilions organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Argentinean Embassy in Spain. The 12 Santa Fe companies represented are in San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, El Trébol, Rosario, Piamonte, San Carlos Sud and Murphy.

The Director of Export Promotion, Daniel Galaverna, stressed that "within the actions carried out during the year, Santa Fe Global brought 12 companies from Santa Fe linked to technology and agriculture to participate in this exhibition. It is very important for us that they have been able to show the technical and technological capacity and, above all, the quality of the human resources that Argentina, and especially Santa Fe, has. Undoubtedly, for Santa Fe Global this is one more achievement and we want to continue this path of supporting businessmen, producers and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs so that in a global market they can feel that Santa Fe is a source of pride for everyone".

For his part, the undersecretary of Knowledge for Development, Ernesto Turcato, said: "We accompanied 12 startups and consolidated companies with enormous power, making a difference and adding value to the agricultural sector in Spain, taking on new challenges and exploring other markets; generating productive and commercial links. We leave this first edition, which had Argentina as a guest country and Santa Fe as a featured province, with the enormous satisfaction of having been able to fulfil the mission given to us by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, to accompany our companies on their path towards internationalisation".

The road to global markets

Matías Dutto is the director of Nativas, a company from Rosario, and he assessed his firm's participation in the exhibition held in Malaga and said that "they were very intense days, with a very vibrant atmosphere of business, connections and being able to show what we do in the European market. Nativas has a mission, which is to recover biodiversity at scale in productive landscapes and to introduce producers to the ecosystem services market".

Benjamín Giovagnoli, representative of Syner Crops, a five-year-old company based in the Murphy Industrial Park, said that "being present at AgriTech is very important for us as we have never had a presence on the European continent. We would like to highlight the efforts of the Chancellery, the Embassy and the Government of Santa Fe, which made this possible".

Franco Ziraldo, from Bac-Tools Biotech of Rosario, said that "our company produces microbiological solutions for plant and animal nutrition. Coming to fairs of this magnitude is a very important milestone for us, all thanks to the support of the government of the province".
