Governor Maximiliano Pullaro attended the opening ceremony of Agroactiva 2025 - Banco Nación Argentina Edition in Armstrong on Thursday. The event, titled "Where the countryside raises its flag," highlights the values, production, and traditions of Argentine agriculture.
This year, the Province of Santa Fe has its most prominent presence in the history of the event, consolidating its leadership in agro-industrial innovation, financing and services for the sector. "Santa Fe is the countryside, it is industry, it is the ports", said Pullaro in his speech.
No more withholding taxes on the countryside

The Santa Fe president remarked that "our people, our farmers and industrialists, do not take what they earn to tax havens, but reinvest every peso they generate". In this context, he stressed that "their greatest happiness is to produce more. That is why they bet on science, technology and machinery".
Pullaro urged to "take great care of the countryside and industry", and called for the elimination of withholding taxes, so that "every peso generated by the countryside stays in the countryside and in our region". He also warned about the national resolution that allows the import of used machinery: "If we lose our industry, it will be difficult for us to recover it. We will pay for the damage we can cause today for a long time to come".
He also defended the role of universities and INTA, an institution he considered essential. "We must look after INTA because it represents federalism, science, technology and the countryside. Argentina will not move forward with financial capital, but with these gringos who work and strive to make the country great," he said.

Also present at the event were the vice-governor Gisela Scaglia and her counterpart from Córdoba, Myrian Prunotto; the head of the National Cabinet, Guillermo Francos; the mayor of Armstrong, Guillermo Luzzi; the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Clara García; the minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini; Ministers of the Provincial Cabinet; the President of Agroactiva, Rosana Nardi; the National Secretary of Agriculture, Sergio Iraeta; national and provincial legislators; mayors, communal presidents and other authorities from Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Entre Rios.
A productive Argentina
The Secretary of Agriculture of the Nation, Sergio Iraeta, defined Agroactiva as "the countryside" and underlined the commitment of the national government: "We accompany producers, farmers, those who manufacture machinery. We work with the governors and ministers to find solutions that allow Argentina to function".
For her part, Rosana Nardi, president of Agroactiva, stressed that the fair "has become the epicentre of productive Argentina". She stressed that "once a year the strength of the Argentinean countryside, its values, its work and its knowledge is on display", with more than 900 exhibitors, making this edition a record in terms of surface area and business generation.
Santa Fe, with a comprehensive proposal

One of the focal points of Santa Fe's participation is access to credit. A 66.8-billion-peso financing scheme was presented for the acquisition of agricultural machinery, technology and strategic projects. Of the 27 lines of credit available, 17 are new, offered by the Bank of Santa Fe, Banco Nación, the Federal Investment Council and development agencies.
In addition, the province is promoting the internationalisation of production with business rounds that bring together 15 international buyers, 115 national companies (78 from Santa Fe) and more than 300 business meetings, with the aim of strengthening exports and generating new alliances.
In the framework of Agroactiva, Pullaro signed the start of works for five gas pipelines, a key investment in infrastructure and energy supply to improve industrial competitiveness. The Gas, Oil and Mining Roundtable, a strategic area for Santa Fe's economy, is also meeting.
At the same time, the province will highlight its port potential with a special presentation highlighting logistical and commercial opportunities. The Exporta Simple programme, which facilitates SME exports and positions Rosario as a strategic centre for foreign trade, will also be promoted.
The cultural and gastronomic identity of Santa Fe is also present in the Flavours of Santa Fe cycle, which takes place on Stage 360, with culinary proposals that reflect the productive and cultural richness of the province.
