As part of Santa Fe's major presence at La Rural—with the largest stand in the history of the exhibition, business rounds, live cooking, cultural shows and prominent participation in the Agtech Hall—the Provincial Government is consolidating a presence that not only showcases the productive potential of the territory, but also the innovative and technological profile of its public policies.
There, Santa Fe's industry is the protagonist of a concrete action by the Ministry of Productive Development led by Gustavo Puccini, combining competitiveness, sustainability and strategic vision. One of the relevant activities was the presentation of certificates to 14 companies selected in the special edition of the Tecnoindustria + IA programme, aimed at the agricultural machinery sector.
‘Santa Fe not only produces, it designs, innovates and leads with technology developed in its own territory. This programme is part of a public policy that puts industry at the centre of the agenda, with a strategic and federal outlook,’ said the Secretary for Industrial Development, Guillermo Beccani.
This edition focused on providing technological solutions applied to industry, specifically in three areas: predictive maintenance (to anticipate plant failures), occupational safety (with camera vision systems that detect risks) and energy efficiency (through digital analysis of consumption patterns). Each company will implement three solutions based on artificial intelligence, managed from a platform that allows real-time visualisation of production performance and feedback generated by AI.
The total investment in the programme exceeded $350 million, with an estimated provincial contribution of $25 million per project. To ensure the quality and relevance of the solutions, the work was coordinated with three development agencies, the Litoral Centro Technology Park in Santa Fe and the Rosario Technology Hub.
‘In addition to strengthening industrial competitiveness, the programme fosters an innovation ecosystem that integrates companies, programmers, technology institutions and provincial public policies. This promotes knowledge transfer, the creation of skilled jobs and sustainable development in the Santa Fe region,’ added Ramiro Vio, Director of Industry 4.0 Technology.
It should be noted that this initiative joins other special editions of the Tecnoindustria programme, such as those aimed at the gas, mining and oil sectors, which, together with the traditional Tecnoindustria programme —with more than a thousand projects already implemented— consolidate Santa Fe as a national benchmark in industrial innovation and technological application with a local identity.
Voices from the industrial sector
Esteban Pivetta, managing partner of Altina, welcomed the initiative. The firm highlighted the province's drive to integrate AI into industrial processes. ‘We are excited about this commitment, which strengthens the sector and promotes a virtuous exchange between the state, technology hubs and companies,’ he said.
For his part, Fabián Mascheroni, Environment Manager at Grupo Ombú, underlined the value of state support: ‘The certificate represents a great challenge and support. We are committed to AI to advance energy efficiency and decarbonisation, with a province that supports us with concrete actions,’ he said.
The companies recognised were Dolbi S.A., Talleres Metalúrgicos Crucianelli, Acerías 4C Sauce Viejo S.A., Apache S.A., Máquinas Agrícolas Ombú S.A., Búfalo S.A., Mamasu S.A. Altina, Mario Tanzi S.A., Arsemet SRL, Zanini S.A., Oscar Frattini e Hijo SRL, De Grande S.A., Giorgi S.A. and Arag Argentina SAU. These companies, with a strategic presence in multiple regions of the province, represent the industrial fabric of Santa Fe and were selected for their ability to integrate artificial intelligence into key production processes, strengthening the technological, innovative and federal profile that distinguishes Santa Fe in national development.
