With the aim of promoting tourism in Santa Fe and following the inauguration of Rosario Airport, the Provincial Government will participate in the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will take place between 21 and 25 January in Madrid, Spain. The provincial delegation will be composed of the Secretary of Tourism, Marcela Aeberhard; the Director of Tourism, Franco Arone; and the manager of Rosario "Islas Malvinas" International Airport, Pio Drovetta, who will be in charge of meetings with all the airlines participating in the fair, including the one that will begin operating in October between Rosario and Madrid.
In this regard, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, highlighted that "the inauguration of the modernisation works at Rosario Airport (ROS) is in line with the objective set by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro to position Rosario as a logistics, commercial and tourist hub.
The opening of new routes expands investment opportunities and boosts inbound tourism throughout the province." It is worth remembering that ROS received an investment of 150 million dollars, financed exclusively by the Province of Santa Fe, for a comprehensive modernisation.
For her part, the Secretary of Tourism, Marcela Aeberhard, highlighted: "Our presence in Madrid will have a strategic profile, with a busy agenda that includes more than 40 confirmed meetings aimed at promoting tourism, attracting investment, air connectivity and the international positioning of the province."
"This mission will allow us to consolidate Santa Fe's international presence, strengthen coordination with the national government, the Foreign Ministry and local governments, and promote investment and strategic alliances. In addition, we will position the province and Rosario as destinations prepared for major events and international connectivity," she said.
What is Fitur?

Fitur is the most important global event in the tourism sector, consolidating itself year after year as the strategic space where tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, official bodies and tourism service providers from around the world come together. Its international character and its capacity to generate business make this fair the main commercial and professional hub for the industry. "That is why it is a key space for generating institutional links, promoting destinations and opening up opportunities for cooperation with European and international markets," said Aeberhard.
Meeting at the Argentine Embassy in Spain
As part of the official agenda, provincial authorities will participate in a meeting at the Argentine Embassy in Spain, where they will present investment opportunities in the province of Santa Fe. This event is organised by the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the National Secretariat of Tourism and is aimed at authorities, businesspeople and the Argentine community residing in Spain. "This meeting will allow us to showcase Santa Fe's productive, tourist and logistical potential, reinforcing its position as a reliable territory for investment and development," explained the Secretary of Tourism.
Promoting destinations and improving air travel links
Among the highlights of the week will be the presentation of Destino Rosario, which will be held in conjunction with the Municipality of Rosario and several airlines, including World2Fly, which will operate the new direct Rosario-Madrid route starting in October. This event, which will take place on Tuesday 21st at Casa Brava, is aimed at the press, operators, wholesale agencies and the Argentine and Rosario communities in Madrid and will be a key milestone in strengthening international connectivity and inbound tourism.
Presentation of the South American Games
As part of the institutional agenda, the 2026 South American Games in Santa Fe will be presented as an international sporting event that positions the province on the global calendar of major events, linking sport, tourism, infrastructure and urban development.
