On the eve of the first night of the Cosquín National Folklore Festival, the governor of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, and his counterpart from Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, shared a political and cultural message with strong symbolic content, as part of the presentation of the Santa Fe delegation paying tribute to the 240th anniversary of the birth of Brigadier Estanislao López.
"Santa Fe and Córdoba are balanced provinces that take care of their resources, and they are provinces that drive and push forward," said Pullaro, emphasising the productive role of the interior of the country. "We believe in work, we believe in production, and that is what we are going to defend. If the national government paid more attention to this interior, which strives every day, Argentina would be better off," said the governor. "We are provinces that do not wait for plans; what we ask for is work," he added.
Santa Fe's institutional presence in Cosquín was marked by a historic tribute to Estanislao López and a contemporary political message. "We have come to showcase the life, values, principles and ideas of Brigadier Estanislao López, who founded the province of Santa Fe and represented a profound conception of federalism," said Pullaro.
In this context, he highlighted the symbolic nature of cultural participation: "What Santa Fe brings today, with its best artists, dancers and musicians, is a message that is expressed through the art, culture and identity of a people who want to work and progress".
For his part, Llaryora praised the social and economic impact of popular festivals. "Defending our culture and our festivals generates a lot of work. Governing also means creating jobs," he said. He also highlighted the road infrastructure works carried out in Córdoba: "Today, coming to Cosquín, Jesús María and other festivals with the motorways completed improves road safety and travel times".
When asked about the relationship with the national government, Pullaro said: "I have always had a good relationship with President Javier Milei. We have communicated on several occasions and whenever they called us, we were there".
