Rosario is once again focusing on northern Argentina as direct flights to Salta are restarting

Rosario “Islas Malvinas” International Airport has announced that the Rosario–Salta route will resume operations. Starting Saturday, April 4, Aerolíneas Argentinas will provide two weekly flights on this route.

Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate two weekly flights, reinforcing Rosario’s role as a strategic hub for domestic connectivity.

After a period during which the route was not part of the regular schedule, Rosario is re-establishing its air link with northern Argentina. The return of the direct connection to Salta marks a new chapter in the provincial policy of territorial integration and economic growth led by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and the Minister for Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini.

This decision responds to passenger demand and the need to expand the network of destinations, allowing the coastal region to once again have direct access to one of the country’s most iconic destinations.

Puccini emphasised the importance of this announcement: “Every new flight is more than just a service: it means jobs, production, tourism and development. Rosario is regaining the place it deserves on the national aviation map, thanks to a policy that combines investment, planning and territorial management”.

“The restoration of this route is part of a broader vision that seeks to transform air connectivity into an engine of growth. It is not just a matter of adding more flights, but of opening up avenues for products from Santa Fe to reach more markets, for inbound tourism to expand, and for Rosario and Santa Fe to become more firmly integrated into the national network,” concluded the provincial minister for production. The flight schedule includes two weekly services: on Tuesdays, departing from Rosario at 11.15 and returning from Salta at 19.25; and on Saturdays, departing from Rosario at 11.45 and returning from Salta at 19.40. The services will be operated by Embraer E190 aircraft with a capacity of 96 passengers.
